Enhypen Members Profile
Enhypen (Korean: 엔하이프들; RR: Enhaipeun; Japanese: エンハイプン, romanized: Enhaipun; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean boy band under Belift Lab, a former joint venture between CJ ENM and Hybe Corporation. Formed through the reality survival show I-Land in 2020, Enhypen has quickly risen to prominence, captivating fans worldwide with their music, performances, and personalities.
Formation and Debut
Enhypen was created during the survival show I-Land, which aired from June to September 2020. The show featured 23 contestants competing in various missions to secure a place in the final lineup. Based on a combination of global fan votes and producer evaluations, seven members were chosen: Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-Ki. The group’s name, “Enhypen,” symbolizes connection and growth, much like a hyphen (“-“) connects words to create new meanings.
The group officially debuted on November 30, 2020, with the release of their extended play (EP) Border: Day One. The EP featured the title track “Given-Taken,” which narrates the members’ journey to becoming idols.
